Herbert Addo had coached Inter Allies before retiring in 2016
Ghana Premier League clubs have been directed to observe a minute’s silence before this weekend’s kick-offs to honour former top-flight coach Herbert Addo.
Addo died on Friday, March 24 at the 37 Military Hospital after a short illness.

He battled sickness after retiring from coaching in the Premier League, which he won with big sides Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
His feat with Aduana Stars in 2009 – the last top-flight title he won – was unparalleled.
Before retiring in 2016, Addo coached Inter Allies in the 2015/2016 league.
“The PLB further directs that all players and match officials should wear black arm bands for this weekend’s fixtures.”
