Mustapha Hamid
The Information Minister, Mustapha Hamid has dismissed claims of looming terrorism threats as reported in the media.
A statement issued by the ministry on Friday assured the public that the nation “faces no terror threats at the moment”.
The statement explained that travel alerts are only standard practice and do not amount to any specific known terrorism threats therefore the public should disregard the reports.
It further added that, intelligence gathered and shared with international security allies does not indicate that there is any threat in the “offing” and that the ministry would know if there was any.
