Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Carlos Ahenkorah has resigned from his position following admission that he tested positive for Covid-19, yet mingled with people at registration centres in the Electoral Commission’s ongoing voter registration exercise.
President Akufo-Addo, in a July 3 statement received the resignation of Mr. Ahenkorah, recognising that the deputy minister has acted honorably under the circumstances.
The President used the opportunity to admonish all his appointees to show leadership and adhere to all the Covid-19 safety protocols.
