Kumasi Asante Kotoko has appointed Joseph Yaw Adu as its acting Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Yaw Adu, who is currently a member of the new board put in place by the club, is expected to bring his years of expertise to bear on the new role.
A retired Director of Sports at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), he has a strong bias for youth development.
Occasionally, he speaks of how Kotoko can make more gains should the team adopt the academy approach, where players come up the ladder instead of buying them on the open market.
Yaw Adu will be in the role until such a time when a substantive CEO is appointed.
In a related development, the Kumasi-based club are expected to sign five players to help them in their African campaign.
On top of the shopping list is Justice Blay, who is loan from Medeama.
