Award-winning broadcast journalist Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin has received massive endorsement from political and religious leaders as he takes over as morning show host of Akoma FM in Kumasi.
Ashanti Region Minister Simon Osei Mensah and Member of Parliament for Asunafo South Eric Opoku are among a section of politicians who called into the maiden edition of ‘GhanAkoma’, a show set to drive sustainable community development.
They endorsed the show and congratulated the host on the new phase in his career.
“Kofi, I have followed you since you begun your morning show and you are one of the few professionals in the media landscape. Your objectivity stands you tall among your peers. I pray that you excel as you kickstart a new dawn in your career,” said the Ashanti Regional Minister.
He added: “I will recommend you to the people of Ashanti region to continue listening to you for accurate content especially as we approach the electioneering season”.
Later on the show, veteran politician Eric Opoku also phoned in and urged Kofi Asante to continue his professional touch that has brought him this far.
“I know where you started and how far you’ve come, please continue your objective approach and professional touch,” he advised.
The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church of Ghana, Most Reverend Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo, graced the maiden edition with anointed prayer and asked for God’s insight and protection as Kofi takes up the challenge with high expectations.
The maiden edition of ‘GhanAkoma’, held at the forecourt of Akoma FM at Asokwa, had a constituted panel of NPP’s Samuel Pyne, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh of NDC and Akwasi Addai Odike of UPP.
The morning show is one of the flagship shows of Akoma FM, which is expected to uplift the one-year-old Kumasi-based radio station.
Kofi Asante will sit on GhanAkoma every weekday from 5:40am to 10:00am and present a political show on Saturdays.
