Akufo-Addo condemns violence at Odododiodio
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has condemned the acts of violence that occurred between supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) last Sunday in the Odododiodio Constituency.
He urged the youth of the constituency not to engage in any violent acts prior to the December 7 elections.
He noted that any politician who incites the youth to be violent has no good plans for them, hence they should reject that politician.
“We want peace in our country coming into the elections, no youth should allow politicians to use him or her to bring violence into the elections. Everyone should vote in peace,” he said when he toured that part of the capital as part of his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region.
“Any politician who wants to bring violence into the elections should be condemned. Elections are contests of ideas. And we don’t want violence in our country,” he said.
