GPL Week 2: Kotoko draw at Berekum, Dreams FC beat Medeama SC
Week 2 of the Ghana Premier League continued on Sunday, November 22 across five league centers.
Unlike week one which provided only one winner, this week provided more than one winner.
Karela United continued their fine form at the Cosby Awuah Memorial Park when they returned after the renovation works was completed.
Diawusie Taylor handed them a 1-0 win through a penalty against Inter Allies. It was his second goal of the season.
Dreams FC returned to the theater of dreams at Dawu for their first home game of the season.
After firing blank against Inter Allies in the opening week, their attacking force came to play in week two against Medeama Sporting Club.
Joseph Esso opened the scoring for the still believe lads before Godfred Kwadwo Asamoah equalized for the yellow and mauves. Issah Ibrahim scored from the spot just few minutes to the end of the game to hand Dreams their first win of the season.
Asante Kotoko’s chase for a win at Berekum Golden City Park still continues as Emmanuel Clottey scored in the last minutes to cancel Kwame Opoku’s early strike for the Porcupine Warriors when they squared off in week two.
Newly signed Midfielder Muniru Sulley made his debut for Asante Kotoko.
Aduana Stars shared spoils against King Faisal at Nana Ameyaw Park.
Elmina Sharks also drew level against Liberty Professionals at the Ndoum Sports Complex.
One game is still left to be played in Matchweek two. Accra Hearts of Oak will play against Obuasi AshantiGold Sporting Club on Tuesday, November 24 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
