
The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) Ghana is hosting the Ghana Peace Summit 2025 on March 5th, 2025, at the Legon Business School.
This summit aims to bring together stakeholders to discuss and address the challenges of electoral violence and its aftermath in Ghana, using the 2024 elections as a case study.
The theme of the summit, “Impact of Violence after General Elections and Change of Government,” highlights the importance of maintaining peace before, during, and after elections. As the host, Amb. Bishop Samuel Ben Owusu, the United Nations Eminent Peace Ambassador, has been instrumental in promoting peace campaigns in Ghana.
The summit provides a platform for stakeholders, experts, and leaders to dialogue and advocate for peace, tolerance, and stability in Ghana. It’s a crucial step towards promoting peaceful coexistence and addressing the root causes of electoral violence.
IAWPA Ghana’s efforts align with the organization’s mission to promote peace, enthrone tranquility, and make local dwellers agents of peace for global positive social change.
This program will host other Eminent Peace Ambassadors from different countries, from South Africa, our Special Guest of Honour H.E. amb . Dr king Eugene Nkosinathi Mahlangu, Iawpa africa Peace President, H.E.Amb Dr Sammy David, iawpa Liberia Country Director, H. E. Amb Emeka Great , Iawpa Burkina Faso Country Director.
