The Management of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), Accra West Region has announced to customers of its Amasaman District about a temporary reduction in water production at the Nsawam Treatment Plant which supplies water to the Amasaman District.
A statement released on February 28, 2025 said the reduction in production will take place from March 1 to March 7, 2025.
The Ghana Water Company Limited said this is to allow for critical maintenance works at the Treatment Plant to improve water supply.
In line with the above works, there will be supply interruptions in the Amasaman District during these seven days.
Affected areas include; Amasaman Township, Abehenease, Toman, Sapeiman, Pobiman, Obeyeyie, Daaresalam, Fise, Amanfrom, parts of Pokuase and surrounding communities.
“We encourage customers in the affected areas to store enough water for use during the period,” the statement said.
“We regret the inconvenience associated with this arrangement,” GWCL added.
