The Appointments Committee of Parliament today began the vetting of Ministerial nominees presented to it by H.E President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Former Finance Minister, Yaw Osafo-Marfo became the first Minister-Designate to appear before the committee.
The 74-year-old went through an over three-hour grill answering questions from members of both the majority and minority side of the House represented on the
Osafo-Marfo explained his role as a Senior Minister will be to serve as a coordinator in charge of seeing through the “activities of the economic sectors” in the NPP government.
Albert Kan-Dapaah, the National Security Minister-Designate is next to face the committee. His vetting will be done in two folds – in public and camera.
