The Volta River Authority has assured economic players and the Ghanaian public they are working to ensure there are no more power outages resulting from isolated inefficiencies in the power generation chain.
Ghana National Gas Company announced a shutdown of their facility for maintenance.
The shutdown is expected to impose a power generation shortfall of 230MW which would consequently affect distribution.
But the head of communications at the VRA Gertrude Koomson told GHOne News’ Francis Abban “we are going to use other means [to generate power] for example the hydro.”
