A National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament, Mahama Ayariga has told the Joe Ghartey Committee commissioned to look into the bribery scandal involving himself and four other parliamentarians, his first exposure to the allegations was through a social media post associated to Accra based radio Gold.
“I got wind of it online, I didn’t hear but I just saw it on WhatsApp that Radio Gold had said this, then subsequently I got the call from Radio Gold asking for an interview with me on this issue that they had put out.
“I gave it a thought and said okay, I will grant them the interview and I will tell them what I knew about it because I was a member of the committee,” he told the committee’s chair.
Mr Ayariga who appeared before the committee today as a witness insisted minority Chief Whip Hon. Mubarak Muntaka.
