The Ablekuma North and Ayawaso North Municipal Assemblies yesterday approved the president's nominees for the Municipal Chief Executives (MCEs) for their communities.
Mr. Kofi Ofori, the nominee for Ablekuma North received 10 out of 10 votes which translated into100 percent approval as the Municipal Chief Executive of the area.
Mr Aminu Mohammed Zakariah, who was also approved as the MCE for Ayawaso North polled 5 out of 5 votes to also receive a 100 percent endorsement.
The successful outcome of both events sent the gathering at the venue into wild jubilations as the assembly members were congratulated for not disappointing the President.
The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Ishmael Ashitey, who was obviously satisfied with the outcome of the results, called for collective support to enable the new MCEs achieves their mandate.
According to him, as an infant assembly the onus lies on them to develop policies and strategies that would promote the development of their respective communities.
Mr Ofori expressed his gratitude to the president for his nomination and the chiefs for his approval and assured of an open door policy for effective administration of the area
He indicated that the successful outcome of planned programmes would ensure that government programmes effectively implemented
Mr Zakariah assured that the confidence reposed in him would be replicated in other parts of the country to ensure that planned programmes of government are fully executed.
