A 38-year-old man has been stabbed to death by a friend after an argument ensued between them at Gomoa Kweikrom in the Central Region.
There are reports that Kenneth Arhin was stabbed to death by Kwame Anu who accused him of allowing his cat to steal a fish from his pot of soup.
“Kwame Anu accused Kenneth Arhin of allowing his cat to steal fish from his pot of soup so an argument ensued between them and Kwame Anu stabbed Kenneth Arhin with an iron rod and he died on the spot,” Unit Committee Secretary for Gomoa Kweikrom Daniel Kofi Agyamang told Citi News.
According to Mr. Agyamang, he was first informed by some neighbours in the community of an argument between the two friends and he rushed to the scene only to find Kenneth Arhin in a pool of blood.
“What I learnt was that Kwaku Anu had gone to buy food to eat and shortly after he left the food at home, a cat belonging to Kenneth Arhin took the fish from the soup which infuriated Kwaku Anu who approached deceased Kenneth Arhin to pay but he refused resulting in the fight where Kwaku Anu stabbed him,” the unit committee secretary narrated.
He added that together with other town folks they managed to arrest Kwaku Anu and handed him over to the Ojobi District Police Command.
“Together with the support from other men in the community we managed to arrest Kwaku Anu and sent him to the Police station,” Kofi Agyamang added.
