I’ll join forces with Joseph Cudjoe to retain Effia seat – Yaw Boamah

Following his victory in Saturday’s parliamentary primary for the Effia Constituency, Isaac Yaw Boamah Nyarko, the newly elected parliamentary candidate, is confident that the incumbent MP, Joseph Cudjoe, whom he defeated, will actively join him in the upcoming campaign leading to the December polls.

In a closely contested race, Mr Cudjoe garnered 164 votes, falling short of Mr Yaw Boamah’s impressive 321 votes during the parliamentary primary.

Despite the competitive nature of the contest, Mr. Nyarko expressed his commitment to unifying the party by enlisting Mr. Cudjoe’s support in the campaign efforts.

In an interview on Eyewitness News on Citi FM on Tuesday, January 30, Mr Nyarko pledged to collaborate with the incumbent to retain the seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December elections.

“He is definitely going to play a very big role, right after the election he sent me a text to congratulate me, we have been on very good terms, and we don’t have any acrimony…all those on his side have come on board already. I cannot work this without what he has delivered to the people of Effia. He has done his best and supported this constituency for the past 12 years and it is his record that I am going to ride on.

“So I have been talking to him and he will join me on the campaign trail and he will play a very instrumental role because, at the end of the day, it is NPP that wants to win,” Mr Boamah told host Umaru Sanda Amadu.

The legal practitioner and taxation expert also emphasized his dedication to exploring local opportunities to generate employment and foster development within the constituency.

He promised to bring forth fresh ideas that will usher in development and elevate the living standards of the constituents.
