The Day was celebrated together with the 30th anniversary of the school.
Dr Etse Sikanku, a Lecturer in Communication Research at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, who made the call said inculcating noble principles of life such as; obedience, hard work, honesty and kindness, build a child to become good citizen in future.
He also urged parents to train their children with the virtues of sharing and caring for one another when they are better placed to do so, and should appreciate the times of availability and scarcity for them to understand the philosophy of life.
Dr Sikanku said as part of the learning process, parents and teachers should engage children in practical academic work, which would afford them (parents/teachers) the opportunity to detect their shorts and not to give up on the children when they fail or commit mistakes.
The Lecturer entreated parents to build the competencies and talents of their children when they excel in their assigned duties in order for them to fulfil their God-given destinies.
Mrs Bennie Nuamah, a Public Relations Consultant and a guest speaker, called on parents to always partner the school to achieve desired goals and objectives by regularly attending Parent/Teacher Association meetings and being responsive to the needs of their children.
She commended the school authorities and the teachers for their hard work in grooming the children to become assertive and meticulous in their performance at the function.
Mrs Nuamah advised the pupils to keep in their minds, their purpose and aspiration and to overcome any difficulty that might come in their way, and that success is achievable through hard work.
