Accra, Jan. 10, GNA - Emmanuel "Gameboy" Tagoe, will have the chance to annex the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) International and World Boxing Organisation (WBO), Africa Lightweight titles, when he battles Russian Vyacheslav Gusev.
The second edition of the Asamoah Gyan "Fight Night 2" billed for Saturday, January 26, at the Bukom Boxing Arena, would see the former International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Lightweight Champion, make another big step in his career.
Tagoe, who has an impressive record of 29 wins and just a defeat, demonstrated his ring prowess, when he dominated Namibia's Paulus Moses in a Africa Lightweight contest in October, last year.
The 33-year-old Russian boxer on the other hand, would be looking to stage a magnificent comeback in the ring by winning the title as he currently holds a record of losing five out of 30 fights, with eight coming by way of knockout.
Gusev, IBF-International Super Featherweight Champion, in September 2018, knocked Yotchanchai Yakaeo from Thailand, in an impressive fashion, which gave up the opportunity to compete for the title at stake.
