Accra, Jan 25, GNA - Ghana Premier League side, Wa All Stars have disputed media reports that, the club has been sold to former Black Stars defender John Painstil.
There were wide reports in the local media on Wednesday that, the club belonging to the beleaguered former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi has been sold to Painstil.
However, an official statement from the club has clarified the issue regarding the supposed takeover.
A statement signed by the club’s Operations Manager Nana Obiri Yeboah reads: "Wa All Stars Football Club can confirm there is no truth in media reports of a sale or takeover of the club.
"The club has received approaches from potential investors proposing various forms of investment in the club.
"However, there has been no agreement with any interest group about a sale or partnership.
"Wa All Stars Football Club will not be making any further comment.''
