Juaben, (Ash), March 19, GNA – The Juaben Circuit Court has remanded a 27-year-old fridge mechanic into prison custody for unlawful entry and stealing at Dwumanafuo, near Mampongten in the Kwabre East Municiplaity.
Kigali Nabi pleaded not guilty to the charges and will be brought back to the Court presided over by Mr Yusif Osei Asibey, on April 01, this year.
Police Inspector Abdul Rahman Zakaria, prosecuting, told the Court that the suspect was a resident of Dwumanafuo while the complainant though has a room in the same town lives at Fawode.
On February 21, this year, at about 0130hours, a witness in the case saw the suspect broke into the room of the complainant to steal a number of items including an iphone, a flat screen television set, and a decoder totalling GH¢2,370.00.
Inspector Zakaria said the eyewitness raised an alarm and with the help of neighbours, the suspect was arrested and handed over to the Mampongten Police and after investigations Nabi was charged with the offences.
