Asuboni Rails (E/R), March 22, GNA - Mr Bright Moses Oppong, the Headteacher of Asuboni M/A school, has expressed worry at the worsening rate of their performances at the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) due to the lack of computer laboratory.
He said the school's performance in other subjects has been encouraging but the ICT subject is what affects the school's performance in the BECE, adding this is becoming a bother to the school and all stakeholders in the area.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Asuboni Rails in the Kwahu West Municipality, Mr Oppong said despite the challenges that the school faces, it has moved from strength to strength as it chalked success in various sectors such as sports and other co-curricular activities.
With regards to infrastructure, he said, the school was in a poor condition especially from the kindergarten to the primary level because the classrooms are very congested and this is making teaching and learning cumbersome.
He said the Parents' Teachers Association (PTA) of the school has made efforts to construct a Kindergarten block but due to financial constraints, the project has come to a halt.
Mr Oppong called for support from philanthropists, the municipal assembly to aid their efforts to promote quality education in the area.
