Accra, March 22, GNA - The national under-23 team of Gabon, the Panthers, on Friday, held their final training session, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The training was to round up their preparations for the first leg qualifier against the Black Meteors of Ghana.
The Panthers look set for the final leg of the qualifiers against the Black Meteors on Saturday, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Coach Claude Albert Mbourounot, put the team through their pace and shooting drills, during the final training session at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking to the media, through his assistant, coach Mbourounot said, they were prepared for the game and hoping to be the better side on the day.
“We are fully prepared for the game tomorrow and I believe the best team on the day would win the match, so we are hoping to do our best,” he said.
The Panthers impressive performance in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals gave them automatic qualification to the second round of the qualifying stage.
