Coaltar (C/R), Dec. 10, GNA – Mr Daniel Bukari, the Assemblyman for Otoase-Ayibontey Electoral Area has advised parents to invest their monies in the education of their children for a better future.
He said; “As parents much of our expenses must be channeled into our children’s educational well-being rather than spending on expensive clothing.”
Mr Bukari gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency after a meeting by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the Otoase Presbyterian Basic School in the Eastern Region.
He said education was key for knowledge and development and advised students to take their lessons seriously at school, while rendering service to their parents at home.
The Assemblyman called on teachers to be punctual at school and to show good lifestyles for the children to emulate.
Reverend Patrick Gyampoh, the Headteacher and Chairman of the PTA appealed to the government to provide the school library with reading books and computers.
