Asawinso ‘A’ (WN/R), Dec. 28, GNA - The Anhwiaso Traditional Council in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Area has installed the Chief of Asawinso ‘A’ as the new Adontenhen of the Council.
Nana Ackaah Kofi IV, 48, known in private life as Mr Justice Ackah, Operations Manager of the Makola-Accra East branch of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), succeeded his late uncle, Nana Danso Ababio II, who died three years ago.
Addressing a colourful outdooring ceremony at Asawinso ‘A’, near Bibiani on Saturday, Nana Kofi disclosed that his immediate priority was to establish an Educational Fund to provide quality education to children in the area.
“My primary aim is to support children in this town and beyond to attain the highest on the educational ladder, because it holds the key to the success of every human endeavour,” he told a cheering crowd.
The new Adontenhen also pledged to mobilise and unite the teeming youth to use their time, energy and resources productively for the rapid development and transformation of all communities under his jurisdiction and beyond.
The ceremony, co-chaired by Nana Atobra Nkwantabisa II, Chief of Brofoyeduru in the Central Region, and Nana Akua Gyasiwaa II, Adontenhemaa of the Anhwiaso Traditional Area, was graced by government officials and traditional rulers among other dignitaries.
