Koforidua, Dec. 31, GNA - The 1985 year group of GHANAS Old Students Association (GOSA 85 & GOSA- UK) has presented the first batch of 100 mono desks to their alma mater.
The old students had promised to provide 1500 mono desks to the school under the “one old student, one mono desk” project.
Presenting the desks to the school, the National President of GOSA, Mr Emmanuel Poku Sarkodee, said the gesture was the contribution of the old students to the development of the school.
He said it is the desire of the old students to contribute towards making GHANAS Senior High School the preferred institution for academic excellence.
Mr Sarkodee said GHANAS prepared the way for many of the old students to reach wherever they have reached in life due to the quality of training they were given.
He said this is the time for the old students to thank their alma mater by contributing to the development of the school.
Mr Jacob Afful, the headmaster of the school, expressed gratitude to GOSA for the kind gesture.
He commended GOSA for their support to the school and the great interest that they continue to show in the progress of the school.
Present at the ceremony were Mr Patrick Gamer- Tawiah, National Secretary; Mrs Edith Quaye, President of 1988-1990 year group among other members of the old students association.
