English Premier League side Watford have expressed interest in signing Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah on loan from Manchester United.
The versatile 19-year-old can play at right-back, centre-back and in central midfield, and is highly thought of at Old Trafford.
And according to reports in the UK, the Hornets are no doubt wondering what first-team chances actually await Fosu-Mensah under Jose Mourinho, who is hardly renowned for his reliance on youth.
The reports further claimed the Red Devils are yet to decide on the 19-year-old’s future and will make a call after next week’s Uefa Super Cup clash with Real Madrid.
He has however, featured in every one of United’s pre-season games.
Last season Fosu-Mensah made 11 appearances in all competitions for United but, by and large, was kept out of the squad by Mourinho.
