Ghana midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi has been unveiled by Swedish giants AIK Stockholm after signing a three-year-deal on Wednesday.
Adu joined Turkish side Akhisar Belediyespor in January this year from Swedish side Malmo FF but failed to establish himself in the team.
The 27-year-old enforcer expressed his joy to have returned to the Allvenskan League and says he's eager to put his frustrating time in Turkey behind him by hitting the ground running.
“I’m really happy to be here, AIK is a great club and I will do my best to help the club. I am excited to be in Sweden again” Adu Kofi stated during his unveilling.
“I’m really happy to be here and look forward to helping the club win titles. We’ll win everything together, “says Adu.
“I know AIK well and have played against them. I am very pleased to be in AIK.”
“I know AIK and it’s a good club. I look forward. I have not had any contact with MFF recently.”
“We have been in contact with each other for a couple of weeks. AIK is a really good club and right now I feel a lot of joy to be here,”
“My ambition is to work hard for the team and aim to win titles. With hard work we can come a long way.”
AIK Sports Manager Björn Wesström also lauded the signing of the Ghanaian as he believes it will help his side.
“Enoch Kofi Adu has signed a three-year agreement with AIK Football, we feel enormously proud that he is joining our project. We are sure he can take us forward.”
Adu Kofi has previously played for Nice, Nordsjaelland, Club Brugge and Stabaek.
