Ghanaian defender Godfred Asante believes the CAF Champions League quarter final clash between Horoya and Al Ahly will be a difficult one.
Asante, who joined Horoya from Dreams FC has been a key member of the club and was impressive as the Guinean side secured a quarter final berth.
Horoya will host the seven times African Champions on Friday in the first leg of the quarter finals in Conakry and ahead of the tie, Godfred Asante says the game will be the toughest for the club this season.
“We all know the pedigree of Al Ahly in the Champions League so we know it’s going to be very tough,” he told FootballmadeinGhana.com.
“They have quality players and their football is also very good."
“But we are a good side as well and I’m sure we’ll map out a good strategy to secure the result we want.”
The Guinean club have had a successful run so far in the Champions League – dumping former champions Mamelodi Sundowns out of the competition in the process.
Horoya are playing in the CAF Champions League for the first time in their history.
