Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has expressed delight in scoring his first goal in the Turkish Super Lig this season after grabbing the winner for Kayserispor against Akhisar Belediyespor.
Asamoah Gyan needed five minutes on the pitch to score the winning goal for Kayserispor in their 1-0 win against Elvis Manu's Akhisar Belediyespor.
The 33 year old was introduced in the 70th minute to replace Umut Bulut and with a quarter of an hour left he found the back of the net.
Gyan posted on twitter," Thank God for the important win today. The goal came at the right time. Great fans, thanks Soo much for still having confidence in me. God is always the answer."
It was his first league goal of the season in six appearances.
Gyan has struggled for game time this season partly due to injuries and also dropping down the pecking order.
His countryman Bernard Mensah played the entire duration of the match.
On the opposite side, Manu climbed off the bench in the 65th minute to replace Jeremy Bokila.
