Dutch born Ghanaian right back Jeremie Frimpong is waiting anxiously to make his Europa League debut with Scottish giants Celtic.
The 18-year old was not included in the Europa League squad for the group stages after arriving from Manchester City in the summer.
However, after a series of mouthwatering performances, the teen sensation has become a cult hero at the club and looks set to make the last 32 team.
Frimpong netted his first goal for the Hoops in their 2-0 Scottish Premier League win against Hibernian on Sunday.
“I was just delighted to score my first home goal," he said after the game.
“It was really good, the team played amazingly and we deserved it.
“The fans are amazing so to score in front of them was the best feeling.
“I have been practising finishing in training and practice makes perfect.
“We won the final last week and I got a red card but I got over it.
“The manager told me not to worry about the sending-off and said I played well.
"It’s always good when you get the manager on side.
“I’m really excited to play in Europe — it’s going to be a good experience for me.”
