Young talented Ghanaian midfielder Ahmed Awuah, still hopes to help his team, Parma, in deciding games after Primavera coach Marco Veronese changed his role.
Ahmed naturally prefers to play as an attacking midfielder on either the left or right side of a midfield three, but has been moved back to operate as the screener in front of the back four.
Despite his contribution of two goals and two assists in the Primavera, the 17 year old has earned commendable ratings for his energy, work rate and intensity. His ball recovery, ball retention, and excellent passing skills also augurs well for the team.
"I prefer to play in the an attacking midfield role, because I always want score and also contribute assists. But my coach admires my hard work , he's observed my qualities and believes playing as a holding midfielder best suits my characteristics."
"It is actually a testament to my ability to affect games playing in different roles. It doesn't not necessarily limit me from contribute goals or providing assists, I can a do that in many ways. So I'm up for the challenge."
Parma are fifth in the U19 division and will play against Entella this weekend.
