Ghanaian teen sensation Jeremy Doku has expressed delight in Anderlecht's victory against KRC Genk in the Belgian league on Sunday.
The 17-year old was happy with his side's performance and believes that came with their new burgundy coloured jersey.
It was the first time the Belgian giants were wearing the uniform this season, and it came with their best performance of the campaign.
“I am often accused of a lack of finish, there it went to the bottom and I am very happy, for myself, but also for the team," he said after the game.
"It's nice to win like this, we work a lot to achieve this. Myself, with the other attackers, I do not hesitate to extend the training with Pär Zetterberg, in order to be more decisive.
"It had to end up paying! Now we have to keep giving it our all and we will see where it takes us. This is the first time that we have played with this jersey, we will have to replay with.”
Michel Vlap's secoond half brace was enough for the Purple and Whites to beat champions KRC Genk.
Doku assisted the first goal and was in good form before he was later replaced by Alexis Sealemaekers in the 84th minute.
