American side Phoenix Rising have rejected an initial six-month loan deal offer from Hungarian outfit Kaposvár Rakoczi FC, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report.
The petit wideman has been heavily linked several teams across the MLS and Europe following his outstanding performance for Phoenix Rising in the American second-tier league last term.
Report reaching GHANAsoccernet.com suggest that Hungarian top-tier side Kaposvár Rakoczi have made a six months deal offer to sign him in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The Green and White lads are reported to have offered €200,000 to snap the Ghana International on loan with the option to buy at the end of the season.
Though Asante has been promised a fat monthly salary, Phoenix Rising have turned down the offer — claiming the money involved is below the player’s asking value.
The 29-year-old won the American United Soccer League's Golden Boot after netting 22 goals with just three goals shy of the highest number of goals by a player in a single season in the history of the Championship.
He also set two USL records this season as he made the highest number of assists in a single season with 17 and a combined goals and assists of 39.
