Ghanaian youngster Jeremy Doku is proud of his performance after helping Anderlecht claim a 2-0 victory against Genk in the Belgian top-flight on Sunday.
The 17-year-old attacker produced an impressive performance as Anderlecht secured the home win. He assisted Michel Vlap to open the scoring.
"It is often said about me that I am not sufficiently efficient. This time I initiate a goal, so I am very happy for myself and the team. We are working hard to achieve this. I and the other attackers do not hesitate any longer by training with Pär Zetterberg. That has paid off now, "he says at Sudpresse.
The win brought an end to Anderlecht's five games winless run. They now find themselves five points behind the Championship playoff spot.
"We must now continue to give everything and see where we end up. This is the first time we have played in these jerseys: maybe we should keep on doing that", laughs the flank attacker.
Doku has scored one goal and provided two assists in 13 appearances this season.
