The Ghana Football Association has announced that seven media houses have applied for the broadcast rights for the various Football Association competitions.
The FA says it is evaluating the bids of the seven companies and will announce a decision in due time.
GHANAsoccernet.com sources indicate that some media houses interested in securing the rights are StarTimes, Super Sports and state-broadcaster GTV.
The Ghana Football Association in a statement released on the update of the Media rights read, “The Ghana Football Association wishes to inform its stakeholders that at the end of the deadline for submission of bids for Television Broadcast Rights of the various GFA-organised competitions, the GFA received bids from seven organisations for the television rights.
The GFA has since been evaluating the bids and it will announce a decision next week”.
The 2019/20 Ghana Premier League match day one games will not be live on TV this weekend when the league kicks off.
