Players of Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have reportedly not been paid for the past three months, sparking concerns among the players.
The Phobians has been unimpressive in their last five Ghana Premier League games, winning just one match, losing two and drawing two across the period.
After the 13 matches into the campaign, the one-time Champions League holders fin d themselves in the 7th position, accumulating 21 points.
Hearts of Oak were beaten 2-0 by Karela United in matchday 13 on Sunday at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, thanks to Eric Antwi Konadu’s brace.
Surprisingly, the Ghanaian giants fell short in the FA Cup competition, succumbing to a narrow defeat lower-tier side True Life FC, as the Phobians bowed out at round 64.
As per Wontumi FM, the players appears not to be happy having gone three months, with many attributing the club’s poor run to the debt.
The club’s hierarchy will look to address salary issues before their upcoming Ghana Premier League clash against Nations FC on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
