Walton and Hersham boss Jakub Pietrzak could not hide his enthusiasm after securing the signing of attacker Francis Amartey, describing him as exactly the kind of profile he wanted to bring into the squad.
“We are excited to welcome Francis to the club. When I heard he became available, I was interested in a profile like that straight away,” Pietrzak explained, underlining how quickly the move gathered pace once the opportunity arose.
For the manager, Amartey’s track record speaks for itself. “He’s someone that has a record of scoring goals in the league and has experience of playing professional football. I think he can add value to the squad so when the opportunity arose, I didn’t think twice,” he added, highlighting both the player’s end product and his experience at higher levels.
Pietrzak believes Amartey’s arrival will sharpen competition in the forward line and give the Swans an extra edge in decisive moments.
With Gosport Borough up next, the manager has already placed the new signing in contention, hoping his hunger and pace can lift the team as they look to build on a positive run of form.
