GPL champions Aduana Stars to play Berekum Chelsea in coronation match

The official crowning of Aduana Stars as the champions of the Ghana Premier League 2016/2017 comes off Sunday, 5th November when they take on regional rivals Berekum Chelsea in a coronation match.

The Fire Boys had won the league title in match day 29 after a 2-1 victory against Elmina Sharks FC.

They amassed 57 points in total to end the season as league leaders.

Upon a request from the club, the trophy which was supposed to handed to them in the last day against Ashanti Gold SC in Obuasi had to be pushed forward to Sunday, 5th November, 2017 at their home ground, Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park. Read Full Story
