According to the firebrand lawmaker, he prefers being a business and a Member of Parliament serving and representing the interest of Assin Central constituents.
‘’No I don’t want to be President, I just want to be myself, a very good businessman. I can do it, just that I’m not interested, I prefer being a businessman than a president. I don’t want to grow so old early’’ he said.
Mr. Agyapong was responding to questions asked when he was featured with his son on GHOne’s ‘Dining with Cooks and Braggarts’, a cooking TV show hosted by actress Yvonne Okoro.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, the reason for becoming a politician was to help people in his constituency by serving their needs and representing their interest in government.
‘’the reason I chose to go into politics is that when I came back I went to my village and everybody was asking for a favour, I was wondering how I was going to render or give this favours to everybody. So I had an opinion that I have to represent the people so that I can speak for them of their needs, so that is why I decided to go into politics to help people’’.
The outspoken Assin MP was tasked to cook a Ghanaian local dish 'Mpotompoto', prepared with either boiled cocoyam or yam, and mainly eaten by natives of Eastern Region. He also met no other person but his first son to battle with. Read Full Story
