He considers the attempt by former President Mahama to run again in 2020 as a waste of time.
“I think Mahama has done his part for the country and needs to retire as a statesman and not to stage a comeback because it will only end up disgracing him. Go and support Joshua Alabi because he needs you,” he said on Neat FM monitored by Adomonline.com.
Mr John Mahama is billed to address the media on Monday after submitting his flagbearership nomination form at the NDC headquarters in Accra.
Mr Mahama will have to beat seven other hopefuls to lead the NDC again as they prepare to take on the ruling New Patriotic Party in the 2020 elections.
But Mr. Maurice Ampaw believes the former University of Professional Studies Vice Chancellor is capable of leading Ghana’s largest opposition party to victory.
