The trio - Esther Lamptey, Winfred Addy and Charles Attey - who are currently based in the United States of America (USA) and play for Oklahoma City Table Tennis Club, put together the package with support from the leadership of their club and coach, Britt Salter.
Esther Lamptey, who presented the items to the leadership of the GTTA on behalf of her colleagues, said she was elated to see the progress of the sport in the country.
She commended the leadership of the GTTA for their relentless effort in organising the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) World Junior and Cadet Championships in the country last April.
Miss Lamptey, who won Ghana’s last table tennis gold medal at the African Championships in Dakar, Senegal, promised to support the association together with her colleagues, club and president in the coming years and looked forward to a fruitful relationship.
Mr Mawuko Afadzinu, the president of GTTA, received the items on behalf of the association and expressed his gratitude to them for their kind gesture and appealed to others to emulate the gesture. Read Full Story
