The path she chose? Masonry
This 51-year-old woman chose to do hard work rather than sit in the market as a trader.
Not only is she enjoying the job she's doing, but she also mentions working for one of Ghana's former presidents as one of the opportunities the job has presented to her.
Though she's seen as a tomboy, mostly because of her mannerisms, Auntie Yaa Dede told Ghanaweb's Bernice Owusuwaa on the People & Places show, she is unperturbed because it is merely a depiction of her strong-willed personality.
Very popular in Dzorwulu due to her nature of work, Auntie Yaa Dede boasts of building most of the houses in Dzorwulu including the Martins Memorial Hospital and the Soccerbet building opposite the Fidelity bank.
