However, the meeting was reported to be inconclusive as the club’s CEO disagreed with the supporters, leading to some heated exchanges. Subsequently, the NCC leadership resolved to boycott Sunday’s game, promising to officially petition the Board of Directors of the club on the matter.
This year’s edition of the President’s Cup match, which is to honour the sitting President of the land, was rained off three months ago at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

While Hearts travelled to Togo to defeat Etoile Filante 1-0 in an international friendly in Lome last Friday, Kotoko were in Cape Coast the same day to beat Premier League side, Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0 in another friendly at the Robert Mensah Stadium.
