The accident occurred at Kokomlemle in Accra in front of Joy FM after Amandzeba rammed his Ford Explorer into a stationary Nissan Ranger which also hit a Toyota Camry.
He escaped unhurt as his airbag blew up in time to prevent him from hitting his head on the steering wheel.
While counting his blessings he said at a recent press conference that, “I believe everything happens for a reason and I am sure what happened is one of those things.
"I recall that when I was about to release Wogbe Jeke 20 years ago, I had an accident prior to that and the song turned out really good and was received well so I am sure it is one of those things."
Talking briefly about how the accident happened, Amandzeba explained he had not slept for days.
“I had Michael of Jah Mikal Entertainment in town and when he is in, you have no time to sleep so on my way to the studio, I passed out behind the wheel. I remember that he opted to drive because he knew how the days had been like for me but I said no,” he said.
Amandzeba also touched on the state of the music industry now. “The truth is that no one can sing like us, no one can do the things we do and that is who we are.
"Again there are different people with different backgrounds that would want to do different things but the long and short of everything is that, Ghana, Africa is doing well.”
