Kingdom Exim Ghana Limited has, yet again, shown huge kindness to Tema by presenting medical items for the fight against the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The donations, worth GH¢70,000, were received by the Tema East Member of Parliament (MP), Daniel Nii Kwateh Titus-Glover, and included packets of tissues, face masks, hand gloves and liquid soaps.
They are to be distributed by the MP to the various communities within his constituency, which have densely populated inner cities and slums.
James Rajamani and Immanuel Rajamani, Managers of Kingdom Exim Ghana Limited, also received support from Meet and Eat Indian Restaurant and Kings Food Court.
The Rajamanis said the gesture formed part of their company’s corporate social responsibility, which their institution found it prudent to join in the prevention of the spread of the virus, which has, so far, claimed five lives in Ghana.
They advised the people of Tema to ensure that they washed their hands under running water and applied hand sanitizers as recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Titus-Glover, after receiving the donations, commended the company for the gesture, and assured them that they would be used for their intended purposes.
He, also, added his voice for regular hand washing under running water and observing social distancing to help slow the spread of the novel pandemic.
