The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma Central, Ebenezer Nartey, has donated some relief items to frontline workers in his Constituency to help in the fight against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The donations were made to the five police stations in the Constituency, Prime Care Hospital, Shukura Community Hospital, Dr. Barnor Medical Center, Shukura Chiefs Palace, Zamrama Line Chief’s Palace, Abossey Okai Chief’s Palace, and Zongo Chief’s Palace, among others.
The items comprised Veronica buckets, boxes of alcohol-based sanitizers, dustbins, waste baskets, rubber basins, bags of rice, laundry soap, cooking oil, mackerel, sardines, packs of Voltic water, and soft drinks, among others.
Presenting the items, Mr. Nartey said the gesture formed part of his ‘widow’s mite’ to complement the government’s efforts to preserve lives in the country, as the pandemic persists.
The legislator urged his constituents, and Ghanaians as a whole, to adhere to precautionary measures put in place by the President to help curb the spread of the Covid-19 plague.
The recipients of the items applauded the MP for his usual kind gesture, and assured him (MP) of using the received items for the betterment of the constituents and the country at large.
