Sunda Ghana Investments Company Limited, a key distributor of assorted medical soft soaps and detergents, has presented boxes of its products to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to support efforts at fighting the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The company donated toilet rolls, 30 boxes of wipes, 60 boxes of soap, 30 boxes of one kilogramme Kleesoft detergents, 15 boxes of three kilogrammes Kleesoft , and 20 boxes of antiseptic soap estimated to cost GH¢10,000.
Mr. Patrick Zhang, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sunda Ghana Investments Company Limited, expects the KMA to distribute the items to vantage points in the city to enable members of the public undergo the hand washing protocol regularly.
The Mayor of Kumasi, Osei Assibey Antwi, who received the items on behalf of the Assembly, urged the members of the general public to adhere to all directives by the President and health officials in containing the Coronavirus.
He advised residents to stay healthy by wearing the nose masks at all times, besides regular hand washing.
The KMA boss cautioned that wearing of nose and face masks was compulsory for all members of the public, and that people who defied the directive would face sanctions.
He reiterated the position of the KMA to enforce adherence of the social distancing protocol in the central business district of Kumasi, as part of national efforts to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.
Osei Assibey Antwi commended Sunda Ghana Investments Company Limited for seeking the welfare of residents of Kumasi with the donation, adding that it would go a long way to boost the COVID-19 fight.
