The Kwabre East Municipal Manager of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Mr. Edward Frimpong, has been enstooled Sanaahene of Soko near Boamang in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti Region.
The new Sanaahene goes by the stool name Nana Yaw Frimpong Manso I, and has since sworn the Oath of Allegiance to Nana Awuah II, Chief of Soko, who reminded the new chief not to forget about the development of the community in all his endeavours.
He urged the Sanaahene to unite the citizens for the common purpose of improving their living standards, saying nothing positive can be achieved, in terms of development, without unity.
He hoped as young, energetic and well educated, the new sub-Chief would work to promote love and unity among the people of the community.
Nana Frimpong Manso I expressed his profound gratitude to Nananom, the citizenry, and his family for the confidence reposed in him, and promised not to let them down, as he wa ready to do whatever effort it’s takes in contributing his quota towards development, unity and love in the community.
He assured nananom that he would pursue a vision of infrastructural development in the areas of healthcare facilities, improved standards of education, and construction of a Community Center.
The new Chief appealed to the District Assembly and government to step up its developmental agenda for communities in the face of population growth.
Nana Osei Asibey Bonsu, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwabre East Municipality, congratulated the NHIA Municipal Manager for accepting the role to be part of the chieftaincy institution, and entreated him to inculcate the attitude of selflessness and commitment.
