Goldlink Ghana Limited, a mining company in the Amansie South District, has donated 300 bags of cement and two tonnes of iron rods in support of the accommodation project of the Central Command of the Ghana Army.
The Central Command has initiated the construction of 20-bed capacity accommodation for its personnel.
Mr. Yaw Boakye Yiadom, Director of Administration at Goldlink, explained that the gesture was part of the company’s social responsibility to reciprocate the military’s efforts in providing security for the company in its catchment areas.
He commended the Ghana Army for always be being up to the task, hence, the need for assistance to continue giving protection to the citizenry.
The Goldlink Director gave the assurance that the company would continue to assist the military command when the need arises.
Colonel Emmanuel Gyedu, Operations Officer, who received the items on behalf of the Command, expressed profound gratitude to Goldlink for the support.
He said the items would go a long way in helping the military have befitting accommodation for the personnel to work and protect the citizenry.
Col. Gyedu appealed to other stakeholders and well-meaning Ghanaians to also come to their aid for the project to be completed on schedule.
