The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle Constituency in the Western Region, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, has cautioned the government and Electoral Commission (EC) against any attempt at subverting the will of the people in the December 7 elections, saying “nobody can stop the victory of the NDC.”
“The NDC victory is unstoppable, and the reason is very simple. The NDC is coming back to power because the number one security issue we face in Ghana is youth unemployment. As a result of the problem of unemployment bedeviling the youth and escalating in the country, the victory of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) beckons to rescue the country.”
According to him, insecurity had been created in the country following alarming joblessness and serious job losses created by the current government. Aside that, the inability of the current administration to tackle the growing phenomenon of unemployment in the country, he said, would compel the youth to vehemently kick the New Patriotic Party (NPP) out of office.
“The NDC is going to empower one million young people in four years to have jobs, and the youth will not allow anyone to stop them to have the jobs.”
MP Armah Kofi Buah was addressing the youth of Ellembelle at a function organised at Aiyinase on Sunday to present sewing machines, hair dryers, and other working tools to 350 apprentices who graduated from various skills training programmes he initiated to empower the youth.
The MP has made job creation one of his priorities in the development of the constituency and its people. Consequently, he has empowered thousands of youth to secure employable skills through training and apprenticeship.
On Sunday, 350 out of 700 people he personally enrolled to acquire employment through gainful skills acquisition, received their working tools to commence business.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd gathered to witness the colorful event, the Lawmaker, acknowledging the investment made to empower the youth, underscored the security threats from the growing phenomenon of unemployment in the country.
For this reason, he was sure the Ghanaian voters would endorse the NDC programme put together to fix the mess created by the government.
In line with the training programme, the MP engaged the services of master craftsmen to train the beneficiary groups, adding that the current employment module he personally adopted to deal with unemployment in his constituency had been embraced by the people of Ellembelle.
That aside, it had been thoroughly captured in the manifesto of the NDC, which would be implemented by the party upon assumption of office in January next year.
