Strategic Power Solutions (SPS), a wholly-owned Ghanaian solar power and energy-efficient production company, has launched its products in the Ashanti Regional capital of Kumasi, with an appeal to the government to tap into renewable and green energy, since that was the emerging new norm.
According to SPS, investment in environmentally-friendly technology such as solar-powered products, renewable and green energy sources ought to be taken seriously, as Ghana strives to develop, because they were green, renewable and very sustainable.
At a short event held in Kumasi (Adum), where SPS launched the SPS forest peace air conditioners, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Oheneba Ofori Boateng, stated that green technology had become a driver to accelerate the national economic development.
SPS launched products such as SPS Inverter Airconditions, Hybrid Solar Airconditions and Off-Grid Solar Airconditions, which seek to mitigate climate change, thereby contributing to the slowing down of global warming, and also reduce greenhouse effects.
According to Ofori Boateng, the main idea was the creation of new technologies, which do not extirpate natural resources, adding that investment in environmental-friendly technology such as solar-powered products, renewable and green energy sources ought to be taken seriously.
The SPS CEO explained that the company’s objective was to sensitize and encourage Ghanaians to embrace green technology, saying the people ought to take keen interest in the usage of solar-powered products.
CEO Ofori Boateng said: “This should result in less harm to people, species and the general health of the planet.”
